Episode 006- The "Better Than Cascade" Light Beer Challenge, Comedy Festival, Racism, and Atlantis

After a decent break the lads return with episode six of the Barry Bullock hour! Having been challenged by the boys to brew a light beer that was better than Cascade Light, New Zealand's unofficial Prime Minister Billy Penfold delivers three bottles of the finished product for tasting. For comparison Kieran brings a bottle of "Brewery Fresh" Cascade, and Callum finds two expired bottles of said Light at his house. T-shirt blindfolds are donned, and chaotic tasting ensues.

Following that, the rather serious, broad and controversial topic of racism in Australia is briefly delved into, before Big Dog rounds out with hour with his plans to find Atlantis.

Join the lads for the first edition of 2014!

New Years shenanigans are recounted with great vigour, and goals for the coming year are discussed. Big Dog talks of his holidays plans to Fiji, at a resort with a pool in the shape of a foot. His known aversion for midgets soon turns to discussions about Danny DeVito, the relative merits of a "Twins" sequel, and the hour is rounded off as the lads delve into the viability of colonising Mars.

Episode 004 - BILL talks beers, cats, and plots New Year's Eve mayhem

Joining Big Dog K Dog and Cal-Dog this week in the Abbotsford studio is the oft-mentioned, mysterious and elusive WILLIAM OTIS PENFOLD!

Yes, mentioned numerous times throughout the first three episodes, Bill makes his first appearance on the Barry Bullock Hour, recorded live on a sunday morning after he and Big Dog had a big night in Carrum, of all places.

It takes all of five minutes for conversation to turn to Bill's favourite topic of conversation - BEER. Other topics are covered, but is there anything more important than beer?

Episode 003 - Big Dog's Christmas Beer Box, Ashes Wrap-up, and the many adventures of Billy Penfold

It's Episode Three! Big Dog Barry brings in his Kris Kringle present from the office - a "variety box" of beer containing 8 separate Australian beers. The lads sit down, crack 'em all, and start tasting.

After that the lads discuss cricket, with the Ashes having been wrapped up hours prior to recording, and then look to the future and the Boxing Day. The looming arrival of NZ's finest gentleman to these glorious shores then takes centre-stage, and the excitement of the imminent arrival of Mr Billy Penfold triggers an avalanche of Billios-related stories to round out the hour.

Join resident lunatic and larrikin philosopher Nick Barry and the only-slightly-more-sane Kieran Bullock as they sit on the couch at the Spray Street Mansions and postulate about the wonders of the universe.

In this episode, recorded following a big saturday, we are regaled with the story of the night before, which tangents into a discussion on why Niagara Falls has casinos, and finishes with a deep Google session to discover why Pluto was demoted from Planetary status by the people who decide those things. Apparently there was a vote.

Episode 001 - The INTERNET, Subway Salad Variables, Bad Australian beers, and Sandra Bullock

Join resident lunatic Nick Barry and cohort Kieran Bullock for the very first episode of the Barry Bullock Hour. They start off by defining "lunatic", explaining the four-year between podcast idea and actual recording, and move immediately to Nick's infamous policy on double-dipping. Bad Australian beers also make an appearance, as does Sandra Bullock's controversial attire in the movie "Gravity".
